THE PROMISE OF A MAN WHO WILL NEVER MARRY

 I have waited for Love.

I can never marry as I promised my Creator I would stay single if HE got me out of a jam and kept my mother healthy.

What is my happiness?

I am happy if my mother is safe.

I am happy if my Heavenly Father rescues me from myself.

AUNT ALICE

Aunt Alice passed away on November 20, 2013. It shook US up. That morning WE were going to help her get dressed. Breakfast was ready. It was a mildly cold day on Thanksgiving week.

Aunt Alice had Alzheimer's. WE had taken her in back in 2007.  She lived next door on the Dublin Ranch here in Mission, Texas. It was not safe to leave her alone in her house. She was at odds with her brother. Uncle Joe was a Vietnam  War veteran. He had a bad temper. He had a drinking hobby. Diabetes was troubling him.  His drinking was curtailed a bit.

Aunt Alice was a kind, compassionate, funny, wonderful soul.

WE greatly miss her. WE will say a rosary for her today.

THE IRISH GENERALS

It must have been a cultural shock to the Irish Catholic priests when they arrived in the Rio Grande Valley parishes of South Texas. They saw their flock face racism and injustice. Segregation was in full bloom. It surely did not have the scent of a rose.

I remember seeing a 1940s era black and white photograph of the Irish priests and their Mexican-American youth choir. It looked like a picture of a championship football team and its coaches.

The good Padres encouraged their parishioners to fight for their rights. To March against injustice and bigotry.

The Irish Generals offered a strategy of Unity, Faith, Love, Resistance and Song!

You were to sing in a strong voice not a loud one. Let your enemy know you do not fear them. You sing to GOD. How can fear and evil stand a chance?

The fight went through the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Civil Rights and Farmworker strikes.

WE were taught to fight hard. Always fight for your rights and against racism.

My 92 year old mother lived through Segregation. Signs read No Dogs No Negroes No Mexicans.

4 houses down the Klu Klux Klan would meet to decide what to do with "Mexicans".

WE knew Donald Trump was a Racist Enemy to take seriously when he called Mexicans "rapists and drug dealers".

WE have endured 4 years of his bigotry and incompetence.

Look at how he has damaged America.

This November 3, 2020 WE voted against Trump in the presidential election.

Biden was declared the winner today!

OUR Irish generals would would be happy for US.

Father Gerry would say "Well Done, Troops!

The Power Was In OUR Hands All Along.

WE DEFEATED TRUMP!

DEAD VIBE

 It's  all around.

You can feel it.

It has a bad scent.

The feel of it.

The dead vibe is in the air.

No need to be here.

Get out of there!

Be quick about it!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Eric was sexually abused by his mother when he was a child.

He suppressed those horrible memories. His behavior and self-esteem suffered.

He is still dealing  with it.

Please seek help. It is there for you.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

"MANIC MONDAY" BY THE BANGLES

You can't go wrong with THE BANGLES!
"Manic Monday" is Massive and what the world feels even as the global community wrestles with the Coronavirus Pandemic!

THE ULTIMATE MANIC MONDAY

Are THE BANGLES free for Asteroid Day November 2, 2020?

It is a Monday.  A Manic Monday.  It will also be Dia De Los Muertos!

An asteriod the size of car will pass by Earth.

Hopefully, it will not impact Mother Earth.

It will be the Ultimate Manic Monday  if the asteriod hits US.

If it makes you giggle then LAUGH.
